Grammar

Q: How many people does it take to bitch about poor grammar on the Internet?
A: 42.

One to throw an excessive fit over others failing to use punctuation marks or similar words correctly, twenty-nine to spam several pages of the thread with deliberately ungrammatical posts just to piss off the OP, three to argue that language changes constantly so we have no real place to determine correct usage, eight to mention that they don't care how others type but they always make an effort to write correctly, and one to end the thread by reminding everyone: "Who gives a fuck, it's the Internet."

Inspired by every thread like this on the entire Internet ever.

I'm in the editing field and it does irritate me occasionally when I see poor grammar on the Internet.

Here's a blog that shares my dislike for wrong grammar: apostrophecatastrophes.com

I can understand that, especially in static web content (like this website) that tries to put itself forward as competent and worth taking seriously. It may help if I clarify that this page was a reaction to having seen several forum posts complaining about people who don't bother to make their writing perfectly technically correct when using such transient communication as a forum or IRC.
